Tutorial: StoichiometryQuizzes |
You'll get a random reaction from 79 possible ones. You'll need to enter a number for each of the coefficients even if any of them are a "1". If you can't balance the equation, you can choose to reveal the answer which will reveal the correct coefficients.
You can also quiz yourself on calculating formula weights. I have standardized my classes to use the WebElements Periodic Table (specifically the 5-figure version) so make sure to use the appropriate number of significant figures in your answer (remember the addition/subtraction rule). At the moment, the quiz only grades your answer and does not give you any extra information if it's wrong.
Quiz #3 will test you on converting back-and-forth between grams and moles. Calculating the correct answer will reveal the solution or you can always choose to see the solution if you don't understand it. The error messages are currently minimal if you enter an incorrect answer.
I fix formula weights in my CHEM1050 class to 2 decimal places. Checking the box below will fix the quiz to 2 decimal places. If you leave it unchecked, normal sigificant figure rules for addition will be followed.
